A strictly residential institution of higher education following the gurukulam style of schooling Kalamandalam offers training courses in performing arts VIII – X – Arts High School (3 Year), XI-XII Plus Two (2 Year), Degree Courses (3 Year), and the Post Graduate Courses (2 Year). Application form for Kerala Lalamandalam 2024 will be released by the scheduled date as per the notification from the conducting authority through Online mode. Candidates are suggested to fill and submit the application form before the final date of the application form. Candidates are suggested in order to register before the last date of registration after validating the eligibility to appear on the exam.

• Arts High School (from 8th standard to 10th standard).
• Arts Plus Two (Two years).
• UG courses – Now revised as a 3 year BPA (Bachelor of Performing Arts).
• PG courses – 2 year MA in Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Mohiniyattom, Mridangam, Chenda, and Karnatic Vocals.
• Doctoral studies – M.Phil & PhD

Kerala Kalamandalam 2024 Result:

The Result will be released through the online mode on the official website of the university. Applicants can check their results by entering their roll number and other required details in the website. The university follows the semester-based academic session. Academic years of the university begins in the month of July and finishes in the month of June. It has two semesters in every academic year, the first semester is the Odd semester and the second semester is the even semester.

The Odd semester starts in the month of August and finishes in the month of December, during a time when even semester starts in the month of January and ends up in the month of June. The examination will be conducted by the university in the month of November-December (Odd Semester), on the month of April-May (Even Semester).

All the students who have appeared on Re-appearance examination may be able to get their Result through online mode on the website of the University. The re-appearance examination will be done by the university during each semester and students must request this examination by filling the re-appearance examination form.

Kerala Kalamandalam 2024 Admission Procedure:

The admission procedure takes place after the announcement of the results at the designated center. Eligible candidates will have to attend admission events with all required documents at the right time. Kerala Kalamandalami is a continuation of gurukul-sampradaya (where all students will reside on campus during their training).

The university offers arts-related study programs ( equivalent to high school plus two), UG, PG, as well as a Ph.D classes on different art forms including Kathakali, Kathakali Sangeetham, Chutti & Vesham, Koodiyattom, Thullal, Mohiniyattom, Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi; Classical Karnatic Vocals; Instruments such as Chenda, Mizhavu, Thimila, Maddalam, etc.

Kalamandalam also offers special training programs (also for foreigners) in various forms of performing arts (Ancient Music). dictionary of Karnatic, Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Chenda, Maddalam, Mizhav), whose admission is regulated according to the candidate’s aptitude in the field he wants to study (Jury will test him) .

Admission will be based on an aptitude test combined with an interview conducted by Kerala Kalamandalam. The grant will be awarded to eligible applicants based on their family income. Doctoral/M.Phil admission will be granted to PG degree holders, based on an entrance test administered by the University itself. On the other hand, NET/JRF holders, government teachers. and Aided Colleges in Art Forms, M.Phil holders from an accredited university with 2 papers published in fields related to the art form will be exempt from this entrance test.
