Essay on Abraham Lincoln: America’s most popular president was Abraham Lincoln. He had been the most crucial figure in ending slavery in America and around the world. The poverty of Abraham Lincoln’s childhood forced his family to fight for a home. Even without sufficient funds, his father was unable to send him to school. Abraham examined from the old books of others. He started working when he was young to support himself.

When a friend of Abraham Lincoln asked him about his religious beliefs, he replied that his religion was that he felt good when he did good things and bad when he did bad things. The sixteenth and greatest American president was Abraham Lincoln. Despite the fact that Abraham Lincoln was born more than 200 years ago, his name is always mentioned first when discussing American presidents. In order to preserve America’s unity and prevent its fragmentation during the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln nearly gave his life.

About Abraham Lincoln:

On February 12, 1809, Abraham Lincoln was born in a wooden house on Sinking Spring Farm, near Hodgenville, Kentucky. Thomas Lincoln was his father, and Nancy Lincoln was his mother. His parents initially moved to New Jersey from England. Abraham Lincoln’s family was extremely poor, and he farmed for a living. Lincoln’s family was removed from their territory because of a land question and they had to leave the city.

Their family moved to Knob Creek Farm in 1811, where they prepared the land for farming and began cultivating it. The Abrahams arrived in Indiana in 1816, where they began farming and clearing forests. His form is kept as a memorial even today. Nancy, Abraham’s mother, passed away when he was nine.

After this, his dad wedded another lady named Sara. When Abraham was a kid, he wanted a job that paid more for less effort. He built a boat and began working as a boatman, earning a lot of money. Following this, Abraham Lincoln began working as a store manager.

Abraham Lincoln Education and Politics:

During his time working in this store, Abraham Lincoln completed his law studies. He became the village postmaster after some time, and as a result, people started to know and respect him. After that, he considered entering politics, keeping in mind the issues facing the local populace given that slavery was at its height at the time.

Since the beginning, Abraham Lincoln resented the atrocities committed against slaves and desired to end slavery. He got into politics with this idea and ran for MLA, but he lost that election. On the other hand, he had quit his postmaster’s job while running for office, leaving him with no money. Abraham Lincoln’s life was going against him in every way. He was so depressed at one point in his life that he avoided using knives out of fear that he would kill himself.

He was driven out of his depression by a friend at the time, who helped him feel better. With the assistance of a friend, Abraham Lincoln ran for president once more and won the election. He was counted among the youngest MLAs following this victory. The young people were then inspired, and they became devoted followers of him. Abraham Lincoln met a well-known lawyer shortly after receiving his license to practice law. They began working together, but his friend eventually left him. Additionally, Abraham Lincoln failed as an advocate because he did not raise funds to fight for the poor. He was a practitioner for 20 years.

Struggles and Death:

Abraham Lincoln ran for the presidency of the United States in 1860. He won, becoming the 16th President of the United States, which was his greatest accomplishment to date. Abraham did a lot of important work after becoming the 16th President of the United States on November 6, 1860, and these important works have both national and international significance. The reunification of the United States after the Civil War was Abraham Lincoln’s greatest achievement.

Abraham Lincoln is also credited with amending the United States Constitution to abolish slavery. President Abraham Lincoln was shot by famous actor John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865, while he and his wife were in Washington, D.C., to see a play at the Ford’s Theatre. The next day, on April 15, 1865, Abraham passed away.
