RMTMAU is known as the Raja Mansingh Tomar Music & Arts University, is a government university situated at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was established in 2008 by the governments of Madhya Pradesh and named after Maharaja Mansingh Tomar.

University provides courses in music, dance, fine arts & drama & theater. Raja Mansingh Singh Tomar University was established in the year 2008 by the provincial government of Madhya Pradesh. It is in the city of Gwalior. Raja Mansingh Singh Tomar University provides B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. courses in field of Arts, Music & Dance. It has approximately 146 affiliated colleges under it, which offer a wide number of courses.

RMTMAU 2024 Application Form

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 500/- regarding the Application Form and the prospectus, which will be available at the university.

• Students must pay the course registration fee of INR 100.
• After filling in the Application Form and pasting a passport size photograph, the students need to send it by mail or in-person to the university at the following address:

RMTMAU 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Common Research Entrance Test will be followed here for admission into Ph.D. courses.

• It happens during the month of August.
• The admit card can be downloaded by July onwards.
• Candidates must possess Admission test Admit Card, 10th and 12th passing certificates, Transfer Certificate, Income Certificate, Category Certificate and Character Certificate for CRET.
• Students who have made the training in arts will be preferred for entering the diploma courses.
• Both Advanced Diploma and Diploma courses are of 1-year duration.
• Counseling for admission in the above-mentioned courses will occur in the month of June/July.

RMTMAU 2024 Admissions Process

Raja Mansingh Tomar University provides regular B.A. and B.A. (Hons.) courses in the fields of Music, Dance & Arts. Students can choose from different specializations under these courses, namely Drama and Theatre, Fine Arts, Dance & Music. In B.A. Dance, Kathak/Bharatanatyam courses are taught whilst in B.A. Music, the instruments such as tabla, violin, sitar, etc. can be taught.

Raja Mansingh Tomar University provides two kinds of diploma courses, such as Diploma and Advanced Diploma. Students can opt for the Diploma as long as they have achieved their minimum of 40% in class 10th whereas Advanced Diploma can be fetched after graduation.

There are altogether 6 Post Graduation courses in this university. In addition to the M.A. courses, the university offers 3 master courses such As Music, Fine Arts & Dance. The entry for these courses based solely on merit and depends on the candidate’s percentage in graduation. Application launches in the month of May every year.

Raja Mansingh Tomar the university provides Ph.D. in Music, Dance, Fine Arts & Theatre. Post Graduate scholars who have an interest in the field of art can opt for Ph.D. courses. The choice of candidates for entry to Ph.D. courses is based on the score in the CRET exam.

• The university provides a B.A. regular course or B.A. (Hons.), both of which are of 3-years duration.
• The eligibility criteria for admission to M.A. courses are graduate degrees in the appropriate stream.
• Minimum eligibility for admission to Ph.D. courses is Post-Graduation in the related field.
• For admission to M.A. courses, the candidates must come up with a B.A. degree in the related field with relevant experience.
• Students from other states have to have a Migration or Transfer certificate at the time of admission.
