In the IIIT Delhi 2024 Application process, the candidates must fill and submit the IIIT Delhi 2024 Application form and then make the payment of the IIIT Delhi 2024 Application fee.

Common Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Indian National candidates are eligible to apply
• Internationality: The details are not yet disclosed.
• Age limit: The age limit is different for each course.
• Domicile: The candidates must be the resident of Delhi at the time of admission. However other place candidates are also eligible to apply.
• Recognition: The candidates must have passed the qualifying exam from a recognized board or university.

For M. Tech. (CSE) course

• Educational qualification: In order to get admission in M. Tech courses (CSE), the candidates must have completed B.E / B. Tech degree in a relevant discipline. Those candidates who have completed MCA or M. Sc. (IT / CS) course are also eligible to apply for getting admission in M. Tech (CSE) course.
• General Category candidates minimum percentage: The candidates who belong to the general category must have scored at least 65 % or above marks in the above qualifying exam.
• Reserved Category candidates minimum percentage: The candidates who belong to the reserved category must have scored at least 55 % or above marks in the above qualifying exam.
• Basic Selection Criteria: The conducting authorities will provide admission to the candidates on the basis of the performance of the applicant in the entrance exam and personal interview round.
  
  
• Score Card: The candidates who hold a valid scorecard of the GATE entrance exam are also eligible to apply for the admission process.

For M. Tech. (ECE) course

• Educational qualification: In order to get admission in M. Tech courses (ECE), the candidates must have completed B.E / B. Tech degree in a relevant discipline. Those candidates who have completed M. Sc. (ECE / EE) course are also eligible to apply for getting admission in M. Tech (CSE) course.
• General Category candidates minimum percentage: The general category candidates must have scored at least 65 % or above marks in the above qualifying exam.
• Reserved Category applicant’s minimum percentage: Those candidates who belong to the reserved category like SC or ST must have scored at least 55 % or above marks in the above qualifying exam.
• Basic Selection Criteria: The official authorities of the IIIT Delhi will provide admission to the candidates on the basis of the performance of the applicant in the entrance exam and personal interview round.
• Score Card: The candidates who hold a valid scorecard of the GATE entrance exam are also eligible to apply for the admission process which will be conducted by the authorities of the IIIT Delhi.

For M. Tech. (CB) course

• Educational qualification: The candidates must have completed a B. Tech degree / B.E in CS / IT / Mathematics and Computing in order to apply for getting admission in M. Tech (CB) course. Those candidates who have completed B. Tech / B.E. in any other relevant discipline or MCA / M. Sc. / B. Pharm / MBBS degree are also eligible to apply for the admission process.
• Mandatory Subjects: The candidates who have completed M. Sc. course must have completed the degree with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, and Biomedical Sciences. Those candidates who have Mathematics and one Computer Program in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for the admission process.
• General Category candidates minimum percentage: The candidates who belong to the general category must have scored at least 60 % or above marks in the above qualifying exam.
• Reserved Category candidates minimum percentage: The candidates must have scored at least 55 % or above marks in the above qualifying exam if they belong to the reserved category such as SC or ST.
• Basic Selection Criteria: The conducting authorities will offer admission to the candidates on the basis of the performance of the applicant in the entrance exam and personal interview round.
• Score Card: The candidates who hold a valid scorecard of the GATE entrance exam are at the time of the admission process are only eligible to apply.

For the Ph.D. course

• Educational qualification: In order to get admission in Ph.D. courses, the candidates must hold a valid Post Graduation Degree in the relevant subject at the time of admission.
• Basic Selection Criteria: The conducting authorities of the IIIT Delhi will provide admission to the eligible candidates on the basis of a written test which will be followed by the Personal Interview Round.
  

For B.Tech course

• Educational qualification: The candidates have to complete their 10 + 2 education that is the HSC exams (class 12th) should be completed by the applicant who wants to get admission in different specializations offered under the B. Tech courses.
• Mandatory Subjects: The candidates must have completed their HSC exams with a compulsory subject as PCM that is Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Minimum Percentage: The applicant willing to get admission in different specializations offered under the B. Tech courses needs to score more than 80 % marks in aggregate in the HSC exams while 80 % marks should be secured by the applicant in the mathematics subjects as well.
• Basic Selection Criteria: The candidates willing to get admission in different specializations offered under the B. Tech courses need to appear for the JEE Main entrance exam and should hold a valid JEE Main Entrance exam scorecard at the time of admission. The admission will be provided to the applicant on the basis of the valid JEE Main entrance exam scorecard which will be followed by a counseling round conducted by the JAC and then the UCEED.

IIIT Delhi 2024 Admission Process

In this section we have provided the details regarding the IIIT Delhi 2024 Admission Process IIIT Delhi 2024 Admission Process for each course differently:

For M.Tech. (CSE & ECE) course

There are a total of three stages in the IIIT Delhi 2024 Admission Process of the M.Tech courses.

These stages are available for both GATE and NON-GATE which means that this is available for the candidates who have appeared for the GATE entrance exam and also for the candidates who have not applied for the GATE entrance exam.

• First Stage (Applicable for both GATE & Non-GATE) – Shortlisting of applicant
  • The First Stage in the application process of M.Tech (CSE) is applicable for the candidates who have cleared the GATE entrance exam and the candidates who have not applied for the GATE entrance exam.
  • The candidates who have appeared and cleared their GATE entrance exam will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained by the applicant in their previous academic records and also the scores obtained by the candidates in the GATE entrance exam.
  • The candidates who have not applied for the GATE entrance exam will be selected on the criteria of scores obtained by them in their previous academic records.
• Second Stage (Applicable for both GATE & Non-GATE) – Written test conducted by the IIIT
  • The candidates who are been selected in the first stage will have to appear for a coding test which will be held at the IIIT Delhi. (written test)
  • The syllabus for the exam will be similar to the GATE entrance exam so the candidates can check on the official website for more information.
• Third Stage (Applicable for both GATE & Non-GATE) – Interview Round
  • The Third Stage which is the last stage in the application process of M.Tech is for both GATE and NON-GATE candidates.
  • The candidates who have been selected on the basis of their marks obtained in the tests and previous records of exams will have to attend the interview which will be taken by the officials.
  • The selected candidates will be interviewed at the campus of IIIT Delhi.
  • And then on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written test and interview round, the candidates will get admission to the institution.

For Ph.D. courses

• If the candidates are eligible in all the category then they can apply for admission to IIIT Delhi.
• An open advertisement is held so that the eligible candidates can apply for admission to IIIT Delhi. 
• The candidates have to score well in the written exam and they have to clear the interview round which will be organized at the campus of IIIT Delhi.
• The institute will also invite a limited number of candidates for appearing in the written exam and the interview round.
• These candidates will be selected on the basis of the scores secured in the previous qualifying exams.
• The candidates belonging to the reserved category which is ST or SC category will be provided relaxation in the cut-off marks.

For B. Tech courses

• The official authorities will select the candidates on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the JEE Main entrance exam.
• The candidates who have scored well in the JEE Main entrance exam will have to appear for a counseling session that is the JAC (Joint Admission Counselling).
• However, the official authorities have reserved some seats for admission to the candidates on the basis of the UCEED rank.

IIIT Delhi 2024 Reservation Criteria

In this section, we have provided the basic details regarding the IIIT Delhi 2024 Reservation Criteria of the admission process for the reference of the candidates.

The conducting authorities will reserve 85 % of seats in the institution for those candidates who reside in Delhi. However, the remaining 15 % of seats will be reserved for those candidates who belong to other places than Delhi.

Below we have provided the details of the reservation as per different categories.

IIIT Delhi 2024 Scholarships

The candidates who score well in the exams and are eligible candidates then the IIIT Delhi is providing a scheme of fee waiver and also scholarship to all the deserving candidates.

There are some criteria for getting a fee waiver. All the candidates whose family comes under the below poverty line will be given a 100% scholarship.

The candidates whose family is economically weak will also be provided with the scholarship but it will be the scholarship ranging from 50 % to 25 % of the Tuition fee.

The candidates who belong to M.Tech will be provided by an amount of Rs 12,000 every month for a period of 24 months by the institution itself.

The IIIT Delhi helps all the candidates who want to make a career in doctorate by giving many teaching and research assistantship. This will only be provided by the IIIT Delhi to only deserving candidates.
