WB SET Application Form 2023:

  • The applicant must have valid email & Scanned copies of photo, signature.
  • Applicants log on to https://www.WBcsconline.in/
  • Go to “Home Page” the desired post.
  • Read the information rigorously & Click on “Apply Now”.
  • Fill all details within the application form correctly to the best of their information.
  • Upload photo, Signature in a needed format.
  • Application fee ought to be paid through on-line & then Submit the form.
  • Take a print out of the online application for future use.

WB SET Eligibility Criteria 2023:

Applicants who have secured a minimum of 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examinations from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC are eligible for this test. The percentage criteria are 50% marks for OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/ Persons With Disability (PWD) category. Applicants who are pursuing or Applicants who have appeared for their qualifying examination and whose result’s still awaited or Applicants whose qualifying examinations are delayed may apply for this test. There is no higher age limit for applying for SET. WB SET Selection Procedure:

  • The test will include 2 papers.
  • Both papers will include solely objective type queries.
  • The queries in Paper I which is able to be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching, research aptitude of the candidate.
  • Paper-II will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

The minimum 40% aggregate marks for General class are required to qualify. 35% aggregate marks for reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and PWD) are needed to qualify.

WB SET Admit Card 2023:

  • Applicants who have filled the application form in time has issued the admit card for the examination.
  • The exam conducting authority will released the admit card.
  • In order to download the admit card, the Applicants ought to enter the login credentials (User Name).
  • It is compulsory to carry the admit card on the day of examination.
  • The admit card consist of important information regarding the candidate.
  • No candidate will be allowed to attend the exam without the admit card.

WB SET 2023 Answer Key:

After conducting the examination the exam conducting authority will release the answer key and OMR sheet of the Applicants. The Applicants have to pay a certain amount of fee for the OMR sheet. The West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) will release West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WB SET) 2023 answer key soon at wbcsc.org.in. or go for the direct link given above for the ease of the candidates. WBCSC will be releasing the provisional answer key for WB SET 2023 exam in the next few days. This answer key will most likely be released in PDF format on the official website wbcsc.org.in.

What is WB SET?

West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WB SET) is held by West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) to determine the eligibility of applicants for Assistant Professor in Universities and Colleges of West Bengal. WBCSC holds the test in two sessions for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 is common for all applicants and Paper 2 is held for 33 subjects. Applicants need to obtain minimum qualifying marks in both the papers of SET in aggregate to become eligible for Assistant Professor post. Applicants who qualify the exam will be governed by the rules and regulations for the recruitment of Assistant Professor in the state.
