JEE Main 2025 Inter–Se Merit List:
NTA will release the JEE Main 2025 result determining the marks of the candidates scored within the examination. they’re going to even have to seem after the candidates scoring the same marks in JEE Main 2025. this is often identified when the rank list of the passed candidates is prepared. The list for Paper 1 (B.Tech and B.E) and Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) are going to be prepared separately then if the score of two or more candidates is the same, an inter-se merit list is going to be determined based on parameters defined by the exam conducting authority. Candidates must also know that these parameters are going to be different for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Main 2025. Let’s check out the inter-se merit list factors planned out for the candidates with the same score in JEE Main 2025.
Paper 1 (B.Tech and B.E):
The first parameter is going to be the marks scored within the Mathematics section of the paper. Candidate with a higher score in Mathematics is going to be ranked up within the list.
If there’s a tie again, then, the marks of the Physics section are going to be considered as a tiebreaker. Higher the marks in Physics, higher is going to be the rank of the candidate.
In case if the candidates manage to match up all the marks, then the board will then consider the number of positive and negative marks obtained by the candidates. The one with the higher positive marks or absolute value will rank up then the other with less number of positive marks.
If this parameter also fails, then both the candidates are going to be awarded the same rank within the inter-se merit list.
Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning):
The first consideration is going to be the marks scored by the comparing candidates within the Aptitude Section of Paper 2. Test takers scoring higher marks in the Aptitude section is going to be marked up within the inter-se merit list.
If this determinant fails to clarify the tie, then the marks of the Drawing section are going to be considered and the one scoring more in this section is going to be ranked up within the list.
The ratio of the positive and negative marks are going to be the third consideration just in case the top two factors fall to be the same. The one with higher absolute value is going to be ranked up within the inter-se merit list.
If all of the above parameters are the same, then both the candidates are going to be given equal rank on the list.
