NID Bangalore Admission 2025 Application Form has been Released on 3rd September 2024. National Institute of Design (NID) Bengaluru was established in 2006 jointly by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). NID Bangalore is one of the top three NIDs in India. It is also known as the R&D campus of NID. NID Bangalore provides five full-time PG programmes in design. The duration of the programmes is two and a half years.
The admission to the courses will be done on the basis of Design Aptitude Test (DAT) which will be divided into two sections. It is conducted to evaluate the candidates’ basic knowledge, abilities, and skills. NID Bangalore 2025 Application Form:
Below we have provided the important information regarding the application form for the reference of the applicants:
NID Bangalore Admission 2025 Application Form has been Released. Candidates willing to apply for any of the M.Des. program by NID, Bangalore must visit its official website to complete the application process online.
Meantime, candidates will have to appear in the Design Aptitude Test before you register them for admissions. Applications for the course can be submitted only through online mode.
- Visit the official website to register and apply for M.Des. offered by the Institute or go for the direct link provided above in this article.
- Present a valid email and phone number for future reference.
- Log into account and duly fill in the necessary details and click on the save tab.
- In the next step, proceed to upload paperwork, photograph, and signature.
- All the documents need to be in .jpeg or .jpg format.
- After uploading all the documents, click on save and proceed to pay the application fee.
- The application fee is INR 2000/- for one discipline and INR 4000 for two disciplines. (INR 1000 for one and INR 2000/- for two disciplines for SC/ST candidates).
- Payment can be made either online as well as the offline over the demand draft.
- Take the copy of the application form for further usage.
- Candidates can also visit the campus with documents in order to edit the application form.
- The applicant will have to appear in the Design Aptitude Test and interviews which will be conducted in two stages after the application is made on or before a prescribed date.
- A merit list of selected candidates will be prepared based on the qualifying exam as well as performance in the entrance exam and interviews which will be downloaded on the official website.
- Selected candidates will have to appear in the Institute on a given date to confirm the seat.

NID Bangalore 2025 Admissions Process:
M.Des. is provided in five major specialties in the Bengaluru campus such as: Universal Design, Digital Game Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, or Design work for Retail Experience. Admission for two and a half years full-time M.Des. the program would be based on the fulfillment of basic eligibility criteria given besides scores in the Design Aptitude Test plus the qualifying exam.
Candidates willing to apply for M.Des. must have gone through a three-year or four-year Bachelor’s degree from a UGC acknowledged university. To register for M.Des., candidates can visit the official website of the National Institute of Design, Bangalore to submit an application directly.
Candidates willing to apply for M.Des. the course will need to keep a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. One that can be applied to the college through their NID DAT Admission Test conducted by the official authority.
Applying must complete filling all the required eligibility criteria made in accordance with the admission Guidelines. Candidates must have gone through a four-year bachelor’s degree or diploma after 10+2 are also eligible to apply for the program.
Candidates that requested M.Des. the program needs to appear in the DAT entrance exam to be considered for admission. DAT is conducted in two rounds — Prelims and Mains.
The final selection will be based on DAT followed up with a Personal Interview conducted by the Institute. The upper age limit applies for this course is 30-year (relaxation of 3-year for reserved category). 15% of seats have been reserved for overseas candidates.
There are 2 seats that are available to overseas applicants per specialization in M.Des. course.
