Indian Institute of Information and Technology (IIIT), Dharwad is an “Institute of National Importance” and was established in 2015 under Public-Private Partnership, (PPP) between the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, Government of Karnataka and KEONICS. The institute is currently in operation from a temporary campus situated in the IT Park in Hubli.

IIIT Dharwad has introduced Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) as one of the BTech specialisations. IIIT Dharwad admission to the BTech course will be done through entrance-based. Candidates will be selected through a national-level examination such as, JEE Main conducted by NTA. Currently, IIIT Dharwad also provides a PhD programme along with BTech. Admission to PhD is subject to a screening test held by IIIT Dharwad through an interview. IIIT Dharwad 2023 Application Form will be Released soon for Various Courses. Candidates willing to get admissions into B. Tech courses are able to apply both online as well as offline using the following steps:

For Online Mode:

• Eligible candidates should complete the Application Form released on the official website of the college.
• Fill the application form carefully.
• Fill out all the required fields (compulsory).
• Application submission form.
• Pay the application fee of Rs. 1400/- on the internet through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.

For Offline Mode:

• The Application Form may be obtained by the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad.
• The application fee of INR 1400 may be paid out either by cash on a personal basis or by Demand Draft.
• Eligible candidates have to fill in the form and submit the form by hand at the time of admission.

IIIT Dharwad 2023 Admissions Process:

Eligible candidates must fill an application form through both online (official website) as well as offline (at the institute). Admission to the undergraduate program takes place through the JEE score.

Secondly, for Ph.D. the candidates will be accepted through a screening test followed by an interview.

For admissions, students are required to bring the following original documentation:

IITD offers undergraduate four-year course B.Tech in three specializations such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Each expertise has 40 seats provided to the committee.

Candidates in B.Tech chosen on the basis of JEE Main examination ranks. Counseling will be conducted by JoSAA.

To eligible for admission, a candidate is expected to have passed 10+2 or for the corresponding examination with 75% marks in Science streams from recognized Board with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/CS/Biology as required courses.

The institute offers various scholarships and fellowships to students. The following scholarships are currently available:

• The scholarship is available for SC/ST/PH students.
• The scholarship will be provided for general and OBC students whose family becomes income less than 1 lakh per annum.
• Needy students will receive scholarships under the Pradhan Mantri Vidya Lakshmi Karyakram.

Facilities

Currently, the institute is running on a temporary space in IT Park, Karnataka. On The Other Hand, the work for the permanent campus has started and expected to be ready by 2023.

• Library: It holds a collection of more than 4000 volumes (500 titles), magazines, magazines, and newspapers. The library is fully-computerized that enables students to explore new technologies and their ideas.
• Hostels: The institute is offering free-standing residential installations for male and female students. It is equipped with 24*7 safety measures in conjunction with the facilities like Wi-Fi, Mess, CCTV, etc.
• Laboratories: Each department has its own facility for laboratories. They are equipped with a well-connected network facility. It provides educational tools in the domain of each specialization that is provided by the Institute.
