Dr. YSR Horticultural University 2023 Admission will be done through ICAR AIEEA (NTA) 2023.The University was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through on 2007 at Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari District. It is the second Horticultural University in the country.

This university provides admission to the candidates in M.Sc.(Horticulture) from students possessing B.Sc.(Hort.)/ B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture Degree and for Ph.D. (Horticulture) from students possessing M.Sc.(Hort.) Degree in various specializations.

On the basis of eligibility norms, students can apply to this university as per their choice of course. There is a total of 26 seats, and the Doctor of Philosophy Programme in Horticulture with 6 seats, in various specializations. After filling the Application Form, candidates must submit it with relevant certificates together with Demand Draft should be sent to

Qualification

Candidates willing to get admission into Ph.D. (Horticulture) course should have secured a minimum CGPA of 6.50/10.00 in M.Sc.(Horticulture) from ICAR Accreditated Universities whereas candidates willing to get admission into Master’s Degree in Horticulture must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree i.e, B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture and have secured a minimum CGPA of 5.50/10.00.

Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st July 2023

For M.Sc. (Horticulture)

Applicants will be selected for this program on the basis of their performance in the Entrance test (50%) for General and OBC candidates. Those candidates scored 50% or more, they will be eligible for interview/counseling which is relaxable in case of SC/ST candidates to the extent of seats reserved for them.

For Ph.D. (Horticulture)

Candidates will be selected for M.Sc.(Hort.) (M.Sc.(Hort.) – 30%, B.Sc(Hort.) – 20%, and performance in Entrance Test (50%) for General & OBC candidates without Interview are eligible for counseling.
