RRB JE Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible for the RRB JE 2025 exam, candidates must have completed a Diploma or Degree in Engineering from a recognized institution. RRB JE Age Limit 2025

Candidates aspiring to become a Junior Engineer (JE) in the Railway sector must generally be between 18 and 33 years of age. However, for certain posts under the CEN (Centralized Employment Notice) course, the upper age limit may extend up to 36 years. Refer to the table below for the maximum age limits applicable under the CEN course for different categories and posts.

RRB JE Age Relaxations

Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and other eligible groups are entitled to age relaxation in the upper age limit. Refer to the table below for the maximum age limits applicable to each reserved category for RRB JE 2025.

Candidates working in Railway Quasi-Administrative offices such as Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies & Institutes. Up to the length of service rendered or 5 years whichever is less.

Note:- Make sure to enter the same date of birth in the application form as mentioned on your SSLC/Matriculation or any other equivalent certificate.

RRB JE Educational Qualifications

While applying for the RRB JE Vacancy 2025, candidates must meet the minimum educational qualifications prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Board. Applicants should have completed an Engineering Diploma or Degree in disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Automobile, or any other relevant engineering field.

RRB JE Nationality

Apart from the candidate’s age and qualifications, the candidate’s citizenship/nationality is another parameter for evaluating the eligibility for Junior Engineer posts. candidate should be one of the following:
(i) an Indian citizen;
(ii) a citizen of Nepal;
(iii) a subject of Bhutan;
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who entered India before January 1, 1962, to settle there permanently; or
(v) an Indian national who has immigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka; East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania; Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

RRB JE Medical Standards

Candidates applying for RRB Junior Engineer (JE) posts must be medically fit according to the standards prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Board. Specific vision and medical requirements vary based on the medical category assigned to the post, such as A-3, B-1, B-2, and C-1. Refer to the table below for the detailed vision and medical standards applicable to each category.

B-1 (i) Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D).
(ii)Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and
(iii) Must pass the test for Colour vision, Binocular vision, Night vision, and Mesopic vision.
