Academic Qualification:

Applicants should have a minimum of 55% marks in master degree or equivalent examination from UGC recognized universities/colleges.
50% marks needed for candidates belonging to OBC non-creamy layer / SC / ST / PWD class.
Transgender candidates will be eligible having qualifying criteria similar to SC / ST / PWD classes.
Candidates following master’s degree or have appeared for the final exam and waiting for their result can also apply. Such candidates are provisionally admitted and can be eligible for JRF. Age Limit:

Assistant Professor:

There is no age limit set for applying for the assistant professor.
Candidates are eligible for the post assistant professor if they with success qualify NET/SLET/SET exam.
Candidates with a ph.D. degree in accordance with University Grants Commission are exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of assistant professor in Universities/ Colleges/ institutions.
Candidates, those have cleared State Eligibility test (SET) accredited by UGC for eligibility for assistant professor held before first June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET.

Junior Research Fellowship:

The age of the candidates shouldn’t be more than 28 years as on 1 Jan 2024.
There will be age relaxation of up to five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC- NCL, and PWD class and additionally to women candidates.
Candidates with research expertise limited to the period spent on analysis within the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a most of five years on the production of a certificate from appropriate authority.
Candidates having L.L.M degree are eligible for three year age relaxation.
