SKUAST-K is known as the Sher-E-Kashmir University Of Agricultural Sciences And Technology Of Kashmir, Srinagar is a land agricultural university situated in Srinagar. It was established in the year 1982 which now provides education in different branches of study such as Animal Sciences, Fisheries, Home Science, Forestry, and many more. Admission to all the courses takes place based on marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test, known as the University Entrance Test (UET).

The University provides various courses on agricultural science and technology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Furthermore, the university also provides a Ph.D. program featuring five different specializations. At the UG level, the college is providing courses like Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc), and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), where, at PG level, the college proffers M.Sc (Master of Science), MFC (Master of Fisheries Science), M.V.Sc (Master of Veterinary Sciences) and M.Tech (Master of Technology) to the interviewees.

  • Candidates willing to Apply, must visit the official website of the college.
  • Before applying through online, make sure that you deposited the application fee of Rs. 1500/-, in the University Account No: 0242040100004249 (Comptroller, SKUAST-K)
  • Fill the necessary details and then upload the required documents which include the photograph, signature, and thumb impression together with the payment receipt
  • Once in the details are confirmed, generate a pdf of your application and download the same thing for future reference and record.

The university provides various courses on agricultural science and technology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Furthermore, the university also provides a Ph.D. program with five different specializations.

At the postgraduate level, the university has several different courses to candidates. The university offers a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree with 13 different specializations, Master of Fisheries (MFC) with one specialization, and A Master’s Degree of Veterinary Sciences (M.V.Sc.) and Master of Technology (M. Tech) with two specializations each. The duration of all the PG courses is 2 years.

SKUAST Kashmir Admission 2025 Admissions Process

Admission to all the courses will be done based on marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test undertaken by the university, so-called University Entrance Test (UET), for admission the whole of the candidates interested in the courses above.

  • For admission into the Ph.D. courses, the candidates need to appear in a Written Test. The
  • shortlisted candidates are then required to present themselves before the Selection Committee for Research Aptitude Assessment.
  • Application for admission to the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) may be made online on its official website

Candidates applying to the academic programs must comply with the eligibility criteria for the course they wish to request. The eligibility criteria as per the university are given below:

  • UG Courses: Intermediate graduation by using the PCB/PCM and English with at least 50% marks and 40% for reserved categories
  • PG Courses: Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with 60% marks in the aggregate.
  • Ph.D. Courses: Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 65% marks from a recognized university.
