At present, 82 universities of Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts are plugged under the university. North Orissa University is offering distance courses under the Directorate of Distance Education. The following UG courses are being offered for distance learning by the university.

North Orissa University, Result will be released through online mode on the official website of the university.

The exams will be held twice in a year in months of May and December. Candidates must periodically visit the official website in order to check the result notification.

Offering 12 self-finance and 8 regular PG courses for the length of 2 years.

• The admission to the PG courses would be based upon the entrance test held by the university.
• The test will include the 50 objective questions based on the graduation subject.
• The test is for the entire duration of 1 hour.
• The minimum marks for qualifying the exam is 30%.

Offering 4 self-financing and 7 ordinary M.Phil. courses for the duration of 1 year.

• The admission to the M.Phil. courses would be based upon the entrance test (50 multiple choice questions) undertaken by the university.
• The qualified applicants will be invited for the interview.
• UGC- CSIR/ NET/ Gate qualified candidates do not need to apply for the entrance test.

Offers 19 Pre-Ph.D and Ph.D. courses under the Department of Arts and Science.

• The admission to the Ph.D. courses would be based upon the entrance test (50 multiple choice questions) undertaken by the university.
• The qualified applicants will be invoked for the interview.
• UGC- CSIR/ NET/ Gate qualified candidates are not required to appear for the entrance test.
• Nominees with M.Phil degree in relevant subjects are also exempted from the entrance tests.
