NLU Odisha Admission 2025 Application Form has been Released on 15th July 2024 through CLAT 2025. NLUO is known as the National Law University Odisha is a national law university in India. It was established in the year 2009 and was ranked the 3rd Best Law University in India by the India Today Rankings 2025, the university provides two Undergraduate, one Postgraduate, and two Doctoral programs.

Admission to UG and PG programs will be done on the basis of CLAT points and NLUORET scores are considered for Doctoral programs. NLU Odisha 2025 Application Form

NLU Odisha Admission 2025 Application Form has been Released on 8th August 2025. The application form will be released for download from the official website. Fill the form thoroughly and the completed application form along with the attachments that you must be sent via registered post/courier or delivered in person at the following address:

Documents Required:

  • Completed Application form
  • Three copies of the proposed research topic (10 Pages) of a contemporary issue with the broad framework of Law & related subjects
  • Demand draft of INR 3000 drawn in favor of “Registrar National Law University Odisha”
  • Attested photocopies of eligibility qualification certificates and mark sheets
  • One set of published papers, monographs, articles & books (if applicable)
  • Certificate from the Institution concerned testifying the length of service (if required)

NLU Odisha 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Below we have provided the eligibility norms in accordance with that specified under the rules and provisions of the CLAT examination of the request.

For BA.LLB

  • The maximum age limit is 22 years for a five years LLB course.
  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognized board, i.e. CBSE/ ISC/ State Board or similar.

The selection process consists of a parse of performance in the Common Law Aptitude Test (CLAT). Merit list is prepared based on performance in this examination, following the merit-cum-preference system designed for CLAT applicants across the country.

  • There’s no upper age limit for CLAT.
  • Candidates are required to have a valid LLB degree from a recognized law school/ University in the country.
  • The minimum acceptable proportion at the undergraduate level is 55%, with a 5% relaxation to reserved categories.

For LLM

In accordance with the workings of all National Law Schools in the country, the selection procedure consists of the analysis of achievements in the CLAT.

Candidates must have passed Master’s in Law (LLM) from any acknowledged university, having a minimum of 55% marks. A 5% relaxation can be given to those from reserved categories.

For M.Phil/ Ph.D

The selection process is a comprehensive system that seeks to analyze all aspects of a candidate’s aptitude in the direction to the course. It usually consists of an entrance examination as well as a personal interview.

The performance in the interview will serve the deciding factor for the preparation of the merit list.

  • Master’s Degree in Law by an accredited university with a minimum of 55% marks that have been achieved.
  • Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Social Science or Humanities, Management Studies or Sciences from any recognized University with no less than 55% marks or the equivalent grade.
  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or Management Studies from any recognized Universities with 55% marks and have had at least two years of teaching experience.

There is a comprehensive selection process participating in the Ph.D. program admission.

  • Those who have cleared NET / JRF examination are excluded from the written examination.
  • Ones who will secure 50% in the written test will qualify for this presentation stage, where they are required to show their research proposal covering the following aspects:
    i) Statement of Problem
    ii) Relevance of Research
    iii) Research Questions
    iv) Research Hypothesis
    v) Tentative Chapterisation
  • The performance in the presentation will be provided by 50% weightage (total 200) in the preparation of the merit list

NLU Odisha 2025 Result

NLUO will released the results of all the various courses through online at their official website. Candidates can get entry to the above-mentioned courses only after clearing the entrance examination i.e. CLAT.

It is commonly known as the “Common Law Entrance Test”. The entrance examination is scheduled to be performed on May 13, 2025. The outcome of the entrance examination is declared on May 31, 2025.

A valid CLAT Scores with 10+2 in any discipline from a known board for UG programs. Bachelor’s law degree and one eligible CLAT score for PG programs. Master’s degree in Law from an accredited University with not less than 55% marks and NLUORET score.
