North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) 2023 Admission has been done through NTA CUET 2023. NEHU is known as the North-Eastern Hill University is a central university that is accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC and was established in 1973 in Shillong, Meghalaya. Below we have provided the important information regarding the application form for the reference of the applicants:
North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Application Form has been Released for UG & PG Courses. Candidates submitting an application for the Shillong campus must apply through online only and payment shall be made through online only. The application form for each course is available from the university website and candidates must visit the web-portal to fill in the Application Form.
Candidates applying for M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs should provide a write-up of 200 words explaining a reason for joining the course. Application fee of Rs. 100/- must be paid out through Bank Cheque or Bank Demand Draft favoring “North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong” or by using NEHU challan payable at any SBI branch and attach the fee on a voucher along with the application form.

Fellowship Programe:
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) scholarships are given to those candidates who have cleared NET applications and have obtained 55% marks in the Master’s degree. NEHU also awards postgraduate scholarships to those applicants who have passed Honors degrees with a minimum of 55% marks.
NEHU 2023 Admissions Process:
The University provides M.Phil program in English, Political Science and History. The applicants for the M.Phil program are required in order to score 55% marks or with a minimum of ‘B’ grade (CGPA) at the 7 point UGC scale at the Master’s degree level.
The University provides a Ph.D. in various fields such as Economics, Commerce, History, Political Science, Hindi, English, Hindi, Education, etc. To get acceptance into the Ph.D. program, the candidate must hold a Master’s degree with 55% marks in the corresponding subject.
Admission in BA/ B.Sc/ B.Ed. The course is being given on the basis of candidates’ merit in the qualifying examination. BA LLB admission will be done through the written test performed by the department. Candidates with valid JEE Main scores will be provided admission to the B.Tech course and B.Arch. students should have skilled NATA for admission.
Admission to MA, M.Sc, M.Ed., MJMC, M.Com, MLISc and PGPD-SEDE is given on basis of the candidates’ merit in the qualification examination. For M.Tech, admission is given based on valid GATE score or stamps get in the entrance test conducted by the concerned department and the merit qualifying examination.
MBA and MTTM courses admission will be done based on the score got in MAT and performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. Admission to MCA and LLM courses will be done on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination, group discussion, and individual interview.
Admission to BA, B.Sc and B.Ed. program is being given on the basis of candidates’ merit in the qualification exam and for BA.LLB course, it is done through the written test being carried out by the concerned department.
Selection in B.Tech will be done based on candidates’ scores in JEE Main and an advantage in qualifying examination. In Order To B.Arch., candidates are selected on the basis of their merit in NATA and percentage received in the qualifying examination.
