Indian Institute Of Information Technology, Kottayam which was established in 2015 as an institute of national importance under the IIIT PPP Act, Ministry of Education, Government of India and is situated in the village of Valavoor close to Palai in Kottayam. The admission in the IIIT Kottayam will be done on the basis of the JEE Main scores through The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
IIIT Kottayam admission will be primarily entrance-based. The candidates will be selected through national-level examinations held by different authorities. IIIT Kottayam 2026 Application Form will be Released soon for Various Courses. Candidates can either apply through the online application or offline mode for JEE Main Exam on a basis of which the admission in the B.Tech/ B.Tech + MS will be provided.
The number of seats for every branch of the B.Tech program will be determined by the Academic Advisory Committee/ Senate. After graduating JEE Main Exam, a merit list will be established for General Category students as well as a separate merit list for the students of SC, ST, and OBC by the central seat allocation Authority (JoSAA).

IIIT Kottayam 2026 Admissions Process:
IIIT, Kottayam provides B.Tech, B.Tech Honors besides B.Tech + MS dual degree courses at UG level. B. Tech is provided in Computer Science & Engineering with 90 seats. The minimum requirement for the eligibility admission criteria is spending 10+2 (Class 12th) or any equivalent exam by a recognized board.
Entrance to the B.Tech/ B.Tech + MS program in any year will be based on the rank of JEE Main and HSC examinations as per CBSE guiding principles.
Candidates willing to apply for an entrance in B.Tech/ B.Tech + MS courses of IIT, Kottayam through Central Seat Allocation should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 pass or equivalent examination.
Admissions to B.Tech/B. Tech + MS program carefully performance-based of JEE Main followed up by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) as per CBSE guidelines.
For each branch of the B.Tech/ B.Tech + MS program, the large number of seats for admission will be set by the Academic Advisory Committee/ Senate.
Seats have been reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Physically Challenged in accordance with the orders of the Government of India.
