Was AIIMS NORCET Paper Leaked? AIIMS Delhi Clarifies

Latest Applications Open 2025:

The AIIMS NORCET 9 Prelims Exam 2025, held on September 14, has been mired in controversy following serious allegations from several candidates regarding the exam’s conduct. Shortly after the test concluded, screenshots and question sets began circulating on social media, prompting widespread speculation about a possible paper leak. Many aspirants claimed that nearly 60% of the questions appeared either identical or strikingly similar to those shared online before the exam, raising suspicions of a breach in exam security.

The situation worsened as reports of irregularities emerged from various exam centers. While some locations, including Delhi and Chandigarh, reportedly began the exam on schedule, candidates at certain centers, particularly near Jammu, alleged delays of nearly two hours. Such discrepancies in start times not only disrupted the fairness of the process but also raised concerns about the secure handling of exam materials.

Adding to the candidates’ frustration were multiple technical issues during the exam. Problems such as malfunctioning biometric devices, unstable computer systems, and repeated log-outs resulted in lost time, preventing some aspirants from attempting questions they were prepared for. Together, these issues—from the alleged paper leak to logistical delays and technical faults—have cast doubt over the integrity of an exam that serves as the gateway to 3,500 Nursing Officer positions across AIIMS institutes.

AIIMS Delhi Issues Official Clarification

On September 20, 2025, AIIMS Delhi issued an official statement via its X (Twitter) account addressing the recent allegations. The institute clarified that the materials circulating online were memory-based questions recalled by candidates after the exam—a common and widespread practice—and not evidence of any paper leak.

An internal committee was formed to investigate the issue and confirmed that the integrity of NORCET-9 remained uncompromised, with no malpractice or unfair advantage detected. AIIMS also reminded candidates that the Stage I results had already been announced on September 18 and assured that Stage II would proceed as scheduled on September 27, 2025.

The press release reaffirmed AIIMS’s dedication to conducting a fair, transparent, and merit-based examination process, encouraging aspirants to have confidence in the system’s credibility.

What Can Be Expected Next?

With AIIMS Delhi’s official clarification, the controversy surrounding the alleged AIIMS NORCET paper leak has largely been resolved, allowing the recruitment process to proceed as planned. The Stage I results, announced on September 18, 2025, confirmed the list of qualified candidates, and Stage II of the exam is scheduled to take place on September 27, 2025, without any delays. Admit cards will be issued on September 24, and details regarding exam city and state are already being shared to assist candidates in planning their travel.

AIIMS has reiterated its commitment to maintaining a transparent and fair examination process. Aspirants can now fully focus on preparing for the mains exam without concern over the recent allegations. With the institute firmly affirming that the exam’s integrity remains intact, candidates can expect the NORCET 9 recruitment to proceed smoothly, ensuring timely filling of 3,500 Nursing Officer vacancies.
